The meeting between the leaders of Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine in the "Normandy format", which was held in the Elysse Palace in Paris, is now over, an Interfax correspondent has reported from the French president's residence.

The meeting has lasted almost five hours.

Vladimir Putin, Francois Hollande, Angela Merkel and Petro Poroshenko first talked in an informal atmosphere on the Elysse Palace lawn and then the meeting continued with the delegations of the four countries.

Ukrainian presidential press officer Sviatoslav Tseholko said the leaders of France and Germany will give a joint press conference after the negotiations.

“The meeting is over. Hollande and Merkel will come out for a press conference,” he said on Twitter.
