A supporter of jailed former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko holds a picture of Tymoshenko and a caricature of current Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych with inscription "I'm against Yanukovych" during a rally in front of Ukraine's high court on June 26, 2012 in Kyiv.

Former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko has written a statement in which she refuses to take part in a court hearing of her case scheduled for July 31, according the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine.

Tymoshenko also said in the statement that if the court orders that she be taken to the courtroom, she will offer physical resistance to this.

"This will be done with my physical resistance," the penitentiary service cited the ex-premier as saying.

The penitentiary service also informed that its management has not received a court ruling on taking Tymoshenko to the courtroom.
