No decision to arrest Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko was taken on Tuesday because the former Ukrainian prime minister attended questioning, the chief of the press service of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office, Yuriy Boichenko, has said.

According to him, on Monday Pechersky Court of Kyiv ruled to arrest and take Tymoshenko to court so as to impose pretrial restrictions on the former premier in the form of arrest, because she had hindered investigative actions.

"As Tymoshenko and her defender came for questioning today, a decision on possible pretrial restrictions in a form of arrest has not been taken yet," he said.

Boichenko said that the Prosecutor General Office at that moment was bringing charges against Tymoshenko in the criminal case on the signing of gas contracts.
