MOSCOW - Russia has no imperial ambitions, President Vladimir Putin said.
“We are not going to revive the empire. We have no such goals of which others are trying constantly to accuse us,” Putin said during a questions and answers session on April 16.
“I want to stress: we are not aiming to revive the empire, we have no imperial ambitions. But we can ensure proper life, including for the Russian people living abroad today, in nearby CIS countries, by developing cooperation,” the president said.
