Oleh Tiahnybok has been reelected head of the Svoboda party, he will lead the political force for the next two years.
The decision was unanimously supported by the delegates of the 26th
congress held in Kyiv on Saturday. Some 691 delegates are present at the
congress.
According to the party statute, its leader is elected every two years.
No other candidates were proposed.
The Svoboda party will be presented in the newly elected Verkhovna
Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, with 37 deputes. The parliament will start
work on December 12.
