Former Prime Minister and Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has said that Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka has not responded to her complaints about the unlawfulness of the criminal cases brought against her.

"Through his non-response to my complaints, through the conscious violation of the law, Pshonka has proved that there is political repression in Ukraine, that there are political prisoners in Ukraine and that cases are being forged," she told reporters after visiting the Main Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office in Kyiv on Tuesday.

According to Tymoshenko, an honest prosecutor general would provide her with an answer.

"But you see that he hasn’t done this," she said.
