You're reading: Tymoshenko: Yanukovych wants ‘Pechersk judgment’ to start on June 24

The government wants to urgently begin the trial against her, Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has said, according to the Official website of Tymoshenko.

”I just received a telegram. Yanukovych decided to start the Pechersk judgment against me immediately – this Friday (June 24) at 9:00 a.m., Khreshchatyk 42-A,” Tymoshenko said.
Tymoshenko had planned to travel to Strasbourg on June 21-22 and Brussels on June 23, but her request for permission to travel abroad was denied by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
The European Parliament recently passed a resolution urging the Ukrainian government to lift the domestic and international travel ban imposed on the former prime minister.
