The Ukrainian opposition has reaffirmed the unlawfulness of the special session of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, and pledged to repeal all the unconstitutional decisions of the incumbent authorities after the parliamentary election.
“The opposition declares this session of the Verkhovna Rada, same as
the previous one, illegitimate and unconstitutional. You may continue to
vote with the cards you pass from one to another, because you make no
difference between deputy’s cards and credit cards,” Batkivschyna united
opposition council head Arseniy Yatseniuk told parliamentarians.
He said the opposition would repeal every illegal decision after the parliamentary election of October 28, 2012.
“We will come here on October 29, but you won’t be here any longer,” he said.
He noted that the opposition insisted on a personal vote of each
deputy. The opposition also thinks that the Verkhovna Rada speaker
should not sign the language law in an unconstitutional way, and the
president should not even consider it, he added.
The opposition insists on bearing in mind the free trade zone deal
with the European Union in the ratification of the CIS free trade zone
agreement, Yatseniuk said.
