“The law was not violated. This did not happen in the way Tymoshenko interpreted it,” the head of the main department for investigating particularly important cases at the Prosecutor General’s Office, Oleksandr Kalifitsky, said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.

“In fact, the questioning lasted for not more than two hours,” Kalifitsky said.

In addition, a video clip of Tymoshenko’s questioning at the central investigative department, during which she said she was ready to study materials of the case “even all night,” was shown to reporters at the press conference.

As reported, on December 30, Tymoshenko came to the central investigative department of the Prosecutor General’s office at noon and left the office at midnight.

On December 31, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported that on December 30, 2010, Tymoshenko “answered the investigator’s questions linked to the case for two hours. She herself chose to spend the rest of the time studying the materials and commenting on them.”
