You're reading: Yanukovych to visit Estonia

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will make a working visit to Estonia on Tuesday, Oct. 15, the president's press service reported.

While in Estonia, Yanukovych will meet with Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Speaker of the Estonian Parliament Ene Ergma, and Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip, the head of the main department for foreign relations of the Ukrainian president’s administration, advisor to the president, Andriy Honcharuk has said.

During the visit, Yanukovych is expected to discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral relations, including in political and economic areas. The intensification of bilateral trade and investment cooperation, the cooperation in transport and energy, and deepening cultural ties between Ukraine and Estonia will be on the agenda, Honcharuk said.

Special attention will be paid to the issue of the European integration of Ukraine, in particular the preparations for the signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius. The presidential adviser said that a bilateral documents on cooperation in the transport sector is expected to be signed during the visit.
