The united opposition will not tolerate possible dismissals of oppositionists from the Central Election Commission (CEC), in particular CEC First Deputy Chairman Andriy Mahera.

“We won’t tolerate dismissals of oppositionists from the CEC. Dismissal of any of the opposition representatives from the Central Election Commission will mean that the elections are undemocratic from the very beginning. This will mean that [Ukrainian President Viktor] Yanukovych and his team want to falsify results of the elections,” the head of the council of the Batkivschyna United Opposition, MP Arseniy Yatseniuk said, according to Channel 5.

“There will be no dismissals. We have many instruments. Of course they include, first of all, international pressure, and we will use Ukrainian and European courts,” the politician stressed.
