You're reading: Belarus pardons another 11 convicted over Dec. 19 riots

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, "following principles of humanity," has pardoned another 11 of those convicted for involvement in riots in Minsk on Dec. 19, 2010, his press service told Interfax.

The press service did not name those to be released.

Earlier, Lukashenko had pardoned 13 of the December 19 convicts.

Altogether, 41 people were convicted, 11 of them without being imprisoned.
