MOSCOW - Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller was not offered a post in Russia's new government. "No," Miller said when asked if he had received any such offers.

Miller said he will continue to work as the head of the state gas giant under contract. "I have a contract at Gazprom. I am working at Gazprom," Miller told reporters on May 7.

Earlier, Gazprom's share price had risen on rumors of possible management changes at the company and Miller's transfer to a post in the government.
