Russia is ready to receive new French proposals on resolving the issue of the delivery of two Mistral-class helicopter carriers, Rosoboronexport Deputy General Director Igor Sevastyanov told Interfax-AVN on June 30.

“Russia is expecting France to make proposals on settling the issue of the delivery of the Mistral-class helicopter carriers,” said Sevastyanov who heads the Rosoboronexport delegation to the International Maritime Defense Show which opened in St. Petersburg on July 1.

The Rosoboronexport deputy general director emphasized at the same time that it was too early to speak about any concrete results.

France suspended the delivery of the ships to Russia last year after Moscow invaded and annexed the Ukrainian territory of Crimea.
