Minsk, August 3 (Interfax) - Around 15 opposition activists were detained during a picket in support of Dmitry Dashkevich, the leader of the Young Front opposition youth organization, registered in the Czech Republic, who is serving a sentence at a prison in Gorki, Mogilyov region.

On Wednesday, 15 opposition activists detained in Gorki will go on trial on charges of conducting an unauthorized rally, a newly formed party, Belarusian Christian Democracy, said on its website.

On March 24, a court in the Moskovsky district in Minsk found Dashkevich guilty of "malicious hooliganism."

He was sentenced to two years at a medium-security prison.
