You're reading: Putin signs decree on material assistance to Krasnodar flood victims

Moscow, July 17 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on measures to deal with the aftermath of the July 6-7, 2012, flood in the Krasnodar territory, which envisions, in particular, that the federal government will allocate one million rubles ($30,756) to each family of those who were killed by the disaster, the Kremlin press service has reported.

The Krasnodar territorial administration is also supposed to provide each such family with one million rubles, it said.

The federal government has also been tasked with paying 100,000 rubles ($3,075) to each resident of the populated areas stricken by the flood until July 23, 2012 if their property was lost partly or totally.

The Krasnodar territorial administration has been tasked with paying such people 60,000 rubles ($1,845) from the local budget on the same terms.
