At a press briefing in Kyiv on March 30, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office screened a film which stated that a Buk missile system transported by Russia into Ukraine was used to down Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 in July 2014.

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin said that the main theory of the investigation is that the plane had been shot down by separatist militants.

In turn, the Head of Ukraine’s Security Service Valentyn Nalyvaichenko spoke of the importance of eyewitness testimony to the case.

Malaysia Airlines MH17, flying from Amsterdam (the Netherlands) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014. All 298 people on board were killed. An international inquiry is under way.
