The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has increased the size of bonuses awarded to Ukrainian athletes for winning Olympic medals, according to Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Minister Petro Poroshenko.

“Today it was decided to increase the size of bonuses. The bonus for a
gold medal was increased from $100,000 to $125,000, and for a silver
from $75,000 to $80,000,” the minister told journalists in Kyiv on
Wednesday.

Poroshenko did not specify the size of bonus for bronze medals.
