The group comprising of major Ukraine tour operators and media houses, including KyivskRus Travel Agency, Mirturizina Travel Magazine and MT Media Publishing is currently on a familiarisation tour to sample the products in Great Zimbabwe, Gweru, Matopos, Hwange and Victoria Falls.
Zimbabwe Tourism Authority chief executive officer Karikoga Kaseke said the country required all the positive publicity it could get to ensure maximum coverage of the destination.
“Naturally, we are excited to host the Ukrainian team and we believe that this visit will go a long way in adding spur to our marketing efforts in Europe.
“Ukraine falls under our secondary markets in Europe and it is important to tap into such almost unchartered territory,” Kaseke said.
“This calibre of visitors is strategic in that we are able to extract immense value if they can promote Zimbabwe on our behalf.”
