The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) announces that Ukraine is now on the brink of wide-scale aggression that may be committed by Russia.

“Unfortunately, Ukraine, as never before, is on the brink of wide-scale aggression from our northern neighbor,” NSDC Deputy Secretary Mykhailo Koval said on ICTV on July 14 evening.

There is still the buildup of Russian troops along the Ukrainian border, he said.

“It’s true that the Russian troops have been deployed at the border with Ukraine. The most powerful units are located in the annexed Crimea – these are 22,000 Russian servicemen,” he said.

The Russian army is stretched along the Ukrainian border – from Chernihiv region in the north and farther to the east, to the town of Novoazovsk in Donetsk region.

What is more, Russian military hardware is widely used in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, he said.
