Simferopol - Grozny Avia airline will open a route from Simferopol-Yerevan on Nov. 16, Crimean Republic Transport Minister Anatoly Tsurkin told on Oct. 21.

He said that it would be the second international route to open at the Simferopol Airport after Crimea’s reunification with Russia. In contrast with charter flights between Simferopol and Istanbul, which started in July, Simferopol-Yerevan tickets are sold by every booking network.

“Booking started today, and the first tickets were sold,” Tsurkin said.

According to the minister, flights will be weekly, on Sundays, and departure from Simferopol is scheduled for 0900 local time (the same as Moscow time). The duration of the flight is 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Ukrainian airlines stopped flying to and from Crimea in connection with Crimea’s reunification with Russia in March of this year.
