Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov commissioned the second line of the gas booster station at the Yuliyivske oil and gas condensate field during a working visit to Kharkiv region.

“I would like to congratulate you on the launch of the second gas
booster station this year, which allows us to solve some of our
problems, first of all, increasing gas extraction, which is extremely
important to us, and to gain the energy independence for Ukraine, which
is even more important,” Azarov said at the ceremony to launch the gas
booster station in Kharkiv region on Thursday, according to the
government’s press service.

The premier also said that the government would continue to pay
attention to development of projects aimed at increasing hydrocarbon
extraction, and the implementation of energy efficiency projects.

“Commissioning modern stations like these allows us to easily create
new jobs, as well as improving the effectiveness of the work of our old
fields and increasing volumes of gas production,” he said.

The premier stressed that new equipment produced by domestic plants
should be used for the development of new fields and the construction of
gas booster stations.

Azarov added that the launch of the second line of the gas booster
station would stabilize gas extraction at the Yuliyivske field at the
level of 100 million cubic meters per year, while increasing the
production of propane-butane mix to 10,000 tonnes per year.
