The Ukrainian government is preparing a new program to overcome the consequences of the Chornobyl disaster, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

"The government is currently preparing a new program to overcome the consequences of the Chornobyl disaster, in which the whole complex of Chornobyl problems will be reflected," he said, while opening a government meeting on Wednesday.

Azarov noted that the government planned to effectively solve these problems.

In addition, he instructed Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Raisa Bohatyriova and the National Academy of Medical Sciences to make an analysis of the needs and plans for the development of all hospitals for Chornobyl cleanup workers.
