Kyiv, April 23 - Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov believes it is now possible to begin the restoration and rehabilitation of the territories of the Chornobyl zone affected by radiation.

"There are all reasons to breathe in life in the desolate and lifeless territories, cities, and populated areas. This will bring us new jobs and will provide additional revenue to our budget," he told reporters while visiting a Radiation Medicine Center in Kyiv on Monday.

Radiation levels are now higher than normal in 31 of the 2,500 populated areas in the Chornobyl zone, Azarov said.
