Kyiv, October 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov predicts that the nation will finalize and implement a visa-free regime with the European Union within a year, or year and a half.

Responding on his Facebook page to a questioned posted, he said: “We’ve sign a so-called road map or a plan on providing a visa-free regime for Ukraine with the EU. We should stick to a number of conditions, for example, to introduce biometric passports. Most things that the plan contains have been done. I think that the rest of the conditions will be realized in the next one of one and a half years.”

Ukraine already has visa-free regimes with many countries. The process towards more liberalized visa regimes with other countries will continue, he added.
