The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported that Georgian climbers have found the body of a Ukrainian who died in the mountains of North Ossetia.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov said at a briefing on Tuesday that on Sept 16, the competent authorities of North Ossetia had received a message about the death of a Ukrainian climber.
"The Ukrainian Embassy in Georgia told us today that the body of a Ukrainian citizen was found by a group of Georgian mountaineers on Sept 18," he said.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry added that the exact location of the body had yet to be established, Dykusarov said.
He also noted that Ukrainian diplomats would take all of the necessary measures to bring the body of the deceased climber back to Ukraine.
