Head of the Verkhovna Rada Public Health Committee Olha Bohomolets has said that 16 medics have been killed and 60 have been injured since the beginning of the war in eastern Ukraine.

“As of today, 16 our colleagues were killed, 60 were injured,” Bohomolets said at a meeting of the Collegium of the Health Ministry of Ukraine in Kyiv on June 2.

During her speech, Bohomolets read the names of those killed off a list, and those present at the meeting held a moment of silence to honor their memory, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported.
