You're reading: Channel 5 resumes broadcasts after bomb threat

The Channel 5 television station has resumed broadcasts after a bomb allegedly planted in the upper part of the building that houses the channel's studio was not found, a channel representative has told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to the channel’s representative, other floors of the building in which the premises of the channel are located are currently being checked.

As reported, a report of a bomb planted in the building in Kyiv, which houses the Channel 5 television station, was received at about 7.00 a.m. on Friday, July 4. All personnel of the channel were immediately evacuated, and experts started checking the building.

The press service of the Kyiv police said that at 7.40 a.m. the channel’s security service received a report from an unknown individual that a bomb had allegedly been planted in the channel’s building.
