A passenger plane will arrive to evacuate Ukrainians from Nepal suffered from earthquakes, Radio Svoboda reported, referring to Acting Head of the State Service on Emergencies of Ukraine Zorian Shkiriak.

“This will be an airliner performing the evacuation flight. It is to take Ukrainians and foreigners, those who want to fly,” Shkiriak said on May 4.

He said that Atlas Jet Airline provides the plane. He expressed hope that on May 5 the plane will be able to fly to Ukraine.

“The airline earns nothing, the state pays only for direct expenses,” he added.

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reported that as of 11.00 a.m. May 5, 2015 a total of 74 Ukrainians and over 10 foreigners are waiting for evacuation from Nepal to Ukraine.

The Il-76 aircraft of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry staying in Delhi has not yet departed for Kathmandu to evacuate Ukrainians.

According to the latest official data, 7,040 people were killed as a result of an earthquake in Nepal on April 25.
