Enterprises on the area of Luhansk region controlled by illegal armed groups are halting activities due to the interruption of economic relations with other regions of Ukraine, the information-analytical center of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said.

“According to live data, now enterprises on the territory of Luhansk region, controlled by terrorists, are closing or halting operations,” reads a statement posted on the website of the NSDC center.

According to the NSDC, this situation is due to the interruption of economic relations because of the inability to sell manufactured products, a lack of subsidies and subventions to support its cost and other reasons.

In particular, the management of Komsomolska mine (state enterprise Anthracite) from Dec. 15 will place workers on unpaid leave, arguing that with the inability of paying wages. Last time wages were paid here in July this year.

“Similar processes are observed at other state-owned coal enterprises located in the areas temporarily controlled by terrorists,” reads the report.
