You're reading: Crimean taxmen collect over Hr 6 billion in taxes in 2012

The Tax Service has collected over Hr 6 billion in taxes in Crimea in 2012, a rise of 21% on 2011, the public relations department of the State Tax Service in Crimea has reported.

The department said that last year Crimean taxpayers paid over Hr 6.1 billion into the consolidated budget of Ukraine, which is Hr 1.1 billion more than in 2011.

In 2012, some Hr 2.4 billion was paid to the national budget of Ukraine, and around Hr 3.7 billion was paid to the local budgets of Crimea. Revenues of the national budget grew by Hr 360 million and local budgets got additional Hr 710 million.

The department said that growth in revenues to the budget was reached thanks to value added tax, excise duty, fees for the use of deposits, etc.

In 2012, the pace of growth in incomes to local budget stood at 23.6% compared to 2011. Last year, payments on personal income tax grew by Hr 217.8 million, that for excise duty – by Hr 222.3 million, single tax – by UAH 110.8 million and land fees – by UAH 134.2 million.
