You're reading: Deficit of Ukraine’s budget general fund grows by 2.4 times in June

The deficit of the general fund of Ukraine's national budget grew by 2.4 times in June 2015 compared to May 2015, to HR 6.8 billion, the Finance Ministry reported late on July 29.

In January – June 2015, the general fund’s deficit totaled Hr 840 million, which is 96 percent down year-over-year.

The ministry said that the revenue of the general fund in January – June 2015 exceeded revenue during the same period of time in 2014 by 52 percent, reaching Hr 232.406 billion, while expenses grew by 32.8 percent, to Hr 234.024 billion.

The revenue of the national budget in January – June 2015 rose by 39.1 percent year-over-year, to Hr 244.694 billion, while expenses grew by 24.4 percent, to Hr 245.677 billion. The deficit over the period fell by 90.5 percent, to Hr 2.111 billion.

The national budget for 2015 foresees the deficit limit of Hr 75.82 billion with Hr 502.26 billion revenue and Hr 566.87 billion of expenses.
