Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers and the European Commission will hold a joint meeting in mid-May on the implementation of the Association Agreement, Acting Foreign Minister Andriy Deschytsia has said.

On March 21, Ukraine and the European Union signed the
political chapters of the Association Agreement. The economic part,
which envisages the creation of a free trade area with the EU, is to be
signed after the presidential elections in Ukraine.

“In mid-May, we are planning a visit to Brussels and to hold a joint
meeting of the Ukrainian government and the board of the European
Commission,” he said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

He added that this would be a meeting devoted to the implementation
of the Association Agreement and the creation of conditions for the
full-scale implementation of this document.
