Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk has said the actions of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and his team throw into question the unity of the state.

“We have no doubt that the administration of President Yanukovych and his behavior have led to this critical moment, when the unity of the Ukrainian state is in question,” Polish Radio UNN quotes Tusk as saying on Friday.

The premier stressed that Poland will demonstrate further support of Ukraine’s European choice, but “Ukrainians waiting for the long march.”

Poland’s security also depends on peace in Ukraine, he said.

“Ukraine as a rich and peaceful neighbor – this condition is necessary for Poland for our sense of security. Ukraine, divided by internal struggle, and internally divided, sooner or later, would mean a very serious problem for the whole region, not only for the Ukrainians,” he said
