You're reading: Enemies attempt to sabotage program with IMF – Yatsenyuk

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said that Ukraine's enemies, including in international financial institutions, are trying to sabotage the country's program with the IMF through middlemen.

“I can frankly tell you that our enemies are awake and restless, including those in international financial institutions. [They are] doing their best to sabotage the program between Ukraine and IMF – not directly, but via middlemen; signals are sent that Ukraine isn’t ready for such a program, as military uncertainty and the conflict in the east are a serious obstacle to adopting such a program. This is according to the countries that don’t support Ukraine,” he said at a sitting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on March 3.

According to Yatsenyuk, as for Ukraine’s western partners, they are “all united,” and he added, “now everything depends solely on our political will, the will to take responsibility and move forward without stopping.”
