TALLINN - Estonian Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier called for the implementation of the Minsk agreements by both conflicting parties in Ukraine at a meeting in Tallinn on April 17.

The ministers agreed that “the most important thing now is the observance of the Minsk agreements and the full implementation of the obligations following from them by both parties to the conflict,” the Estonian Foreign Ministry told Interfax.

“Russia should also actively display its contribution, withdraw weapons, and admit the OSCE special mission to monitor the situation,” Pentus-Rosimannus said.

The Estonian minister thanked her German counterpart for attempts to find a political solution to the crisis within the Normandy format framework and for Germany’s substantial contribution to guarding the airspace of the Baltic countries and its active involvement in activities of the Baltic Defense College and the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence.
