 Dnipropetrovsk, December 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A participant of pro-European rallies and deputy head of the executive committee of the UDAR party in Kryvy Rih Andriy Shalayev has been attacked in Kryvy Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Unknown people attacked the activist near his home on Monday evening. They hit him on the head from behind, knocked him to the ground and struck several blows to the body, head of the party’s executive committee in Kryvy Rih Viktor Sherbyna told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, Shalayev was able to get home independently, where he took a medicine. He did not go to the doctor. On Tuesday, he made a statement to the police.

Meanwhile, the public relations department of the Dnipropetrovsk regional branch if the Interior Ministry told the agency that they had not received any statements from Maidan activists.
