The Euromaidan rally participants have held a campaign to clean up Mariyinsky Park in central Kyiv following the protests that were held there by the government supporters, Batkivschyna parliamentary faction member Stepan Kubiv said at a press briefing on Monday.

A column of protesters was formed on Independence Square and led to the park by MP Andriy Parubiy.

Kubiv said that the park would be fully cleaned before the New Year and invited everyone to join this event.

After the pro-government protesters packed up their camp and left on Sunday, December 22, the area they occupied on Mariyinsky Park was found to be strewn with garbage.
