Fighting is taking place in Shyrokyne, Donetsk region; some Ukrainian soldiers have been injured, according to the Donbas special force battalion of Ukraine's National Guard.
The fighting began at 6:20 a.m., “unfortunately, two of us have been
injured,” according to a statement posted on the battalion’s Facebook
page on Saturday.
The Donbas battalion fighters are successfully repelling the hostile attack and holding their positions, the statement said.
The Ukrainian positions were shelled by militants who are “using banned large-caliber mortar launchers,” it said.
