Chicken Kyiv (Kyiv region, Boryspil district) on July 6, 2011 opened the first Kryla fast food restaurant at 114, Chervonoarmiyska Street in Kyiv, company director Oleksandr Ulanovych has said.
The area of the restaurant is 240 square meters and it is has 69 seats.
According to the management, another three restaurants of the chain will open on Khreschatyk Street, Horkoho Street and Spaska Street by late August. These are currently under construction.
"We also plan to develop in the regions. I see potential in all regional centers for one or two objects in cities with population’s exceeding one million people," he said.
According to him, it is planned to expand the chain to between seven and nine restaurants by the second quarter of 2012. Investment in the chain will be UAH 17 million.
In addition, the Chicken Kyiv director stressed that the company is also considering work under franchising, and in particular, it is holding talks on this in Kryvy Rih and Vinnytsia.
All of the restaurants will have an aviation and airport theme. At the same time, Ulanovych does not rule out the possibility of opening the chain’s restaurants in airports.
Chicken Kyiv was registered in November 2010 and is owned by businessman Yuriy Kosiuk, the board chairman of Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP), the largest poultry producer in Ukraine.
