You're reading: Foreign Ministry: No Ukrainians among detained protesters in Moscow

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has reported that there were no Ukrainian citizens among the protesters detained in Moscow following a rally against the falsification of the election to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

"On Dec. 4, in Moscow, at Chistoprudny Boulevard, the police detained about 300 people who were participating in a protest against falsification of the election to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. According to the Interior Ministry of Russia, there are no Ukrainian citizens among the people detained during this event," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov told Interfax-Ukraine.

He added that the Embassy of Ukraine to Russia is continuing to monitor the situation.
