You're reading: Gas prices for households from May 1 up by 1.5 times

 New retail prices of natural gas for household consumers (the population) came into effect from May 1, the increase exceeded 1.5 times.

The corresponding changes were stipulated in the resolution of the
National Commission for Energy Regulation (NCER) dated April 3.

When using gas for cooking or heating water in multi-apartment
buildings, the gas price will be Hr 1,299 per 1,000 cubic meters if
there is no gas meter and Hr 1,182 per 1,000 cubic meters if there is
gas meter.

For the consumption of up to 2,500 cubic meters per year, the price
will be set at Hr 1,197 per 1,000 cubic meters if there is no gas meter
and Hr1,182 per 1,000 cubic meters if a gas meter is available.

For the consumption of up to 6,000 cubic meters per year, the price
will be set at Hr 1,965 per 1,000 cubic meters if there is no gas meter
and Hr 1,788 per 1,000 cubic meters if a gas meter is available.

For the consumption exceeding 6,000 cubic meters per year, the price
will be set at Hr 4,011 per 1,000 cubic meters if there is no gas meter
and Hr 3,645 per 1,000 cubic meters if a gas meter is available.

As reported, gas tariffs for the population in Ukraine have not been changed since July 2010.
