You're reading: Girl injured in road accident with Constitutional Court head’s car remains in intensive care

An eleven-year-old girl hurt who was injured on July 26 night by a car carrying head of the Ukrainian Constitutional Court Yuriy Baulin remains in a grave condition in hospital, chief doctor of Poltava children’s clinical hospital Larysa Savchenko said.

“The girl is in the intensive care unit in a grave condition. We’re doing our best to save life of this child,” she said on 112 TV channel on July 27.

She also reported that 12-year-old boy who died as a result of being hit by the car would never have been able to survive his injuries.

Head of Poltava regional state administration Valeriy Holovko wrote on Facebook that he will pay for the girl’s treatment.

As reported, the car accident occurred on the Kyiv-Kharkiv road at 8 p.m. on July 26.

According to preliminary information, the driver of a Toyota Camry car collided with a Nissan car. The driver and a passenger of the Nissan died instantly. Another two passengers of the Nissan were hospitalized, where one of them – the twelve-year-old boy – subsequently died.

The driver of the Toyota Camry, as well as Baulin, remains in the intensive care ward of the Poltava clinic. The judge is receiving treatment for a traumatic brain injury, as well as head and leg wounds.
