You're reading: Gunman who held three persons captive at gas station in Kharkiv Oblast killed – governor

KHARKIV - A gunman, who was holding three people hostage after shooting dead two others at a gas station near the village of Korotych of Kharkiv Oblast, was killed, head of Kyiv regional state regional administration Ihor Rainin said.

“The criminal was neutralized,” Rainin told the journalists.

He noted that all employees of the gas station, who have been taken captive, received no injures. Now the medical employees verify their psychological state.

Rainin noted a high professionalism of the policemen adding that the situation was complicated because the events were occurred at the gas station.

As a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine said, four shots were heard at 8.32 p.m.
