You're reading: Information Policy Minister of Ukraine discusses information security with US Under Secretary of State

Ukrainian Information Policy Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Stets has talked to U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Richard Stengel about the issues of Ukraine's information security and the opportunity to involve American consultants.

According to the ministry’s press service, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt and Deputy Information Policy Minister Tetiana Popova where also present at that meeting in Kyiv.

During the meeting, Stets presented ministry’s projects involving experts that gather strategic documents on information security, Crimea’s information policy and establishing communication between government agencies and citizens as a part of “Open Power” program, the press service reported.

Stets said that the creation of Ukraine Tomorrow channel will provide a way to inform people about the positive changes taking place in Ukraine.

“The parties agreed on the necessity of involving U.S. consultants to raise the professional and organization capability of the programs being realized by the Ministry,” the press service reported.

Soon, the ministry will present the development strategy for Ukraine Tomorrow channel to discuss and finish it taking into account the recommendations of foreign experts.
