Iran supports the simplification of visa procedures with Ukraine, Iranian Ambassador to Ukraine Akbar Ghasemi-Aliabadi has said.

"We think that that the rapid development of mutual relations between our countries commits both parties to do everything necessary to simplify the modes of movement for the citizens of both countries," the Iranian diplomat said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.

In addition, he said that among issues on the agenda for the two countries was the simplification of conditions for the movement of Ukrainian and Iranian business representatives, so that they could cooperate more actively.

The ambassador said that Iran had taken every measure to eliminate the visa regime with some CIS countries, particularly with Georgia and Azerbaijan.
