Ukraine has proposed that its foreign creditors should organize a committee for talks on restructuring Ukraine's foreign debt, Minister of Finance Natalie Jaresko has said.

They [the creditors] were asked to collect an ad hoc committee so that they [the creditors] can organize themselves,” she said in an interview with Channel Five.

Jaresko said that all creditors, including Russian creditors, are invited to participate in the negotiations

“We will not negotiate with individual creditors but all on equal terms. We would like Russian creditors to come to these negotiations,” she said.

Jaresko said there has been no official respond from the Russian side so far.

She said she believed that the negotiations would be difficult as they include liabilities on 29 securities which were placed under different conditions. However, she said she hopes for a positive result by the end of May, as all the involved parties are interested in preserving Ukraine’s solvency.
