You're reading: Journalists come to Yanukovych

About sixty journalists have arrived at the residence of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in Mezhyhirya in order to monitor the fulfillment of a court ruling barring them from picketing there.

According to the Ukrainska Pravda Web publication, the head of the Novi Petrivtsi village council, Radion Starenky, who allegedly initiated a ban on the picket and filed a respective appeal in court, came to the journalists.

He said that the president’s residence was not a place for pickets and that this was a private sector where people live and relax.
