Kazakhstan and Ukraine have agreed to restore their economic relations, Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Masimov said after a meeting between the Russian, Belarusian and Kazakh heads of government on Tuesday, April 14.

“From the viewpoint of economic cooperation, I wanted to inform you
that this morning I had a telephone conversation with acting Ukrainian
Prime Minister Yatseniuk and we agreed that the economic relations
between Ukraine and Kazakhstan will resume,” he said.

The bilateral intergovernmental commission may also resume its work in the interests of all countries, Masimov also said.
