KHARKIV - Kharkiv District Administrative Court has banned the Communist Party of Ukraine from holding a march and a rally on May 1 to mark Labor Day.

“The court has upheld the administrative actions of the city council and banned the rally,” director of the public relations department of Kharkiv City Council Yuriy Sydorenko told Interfax-Ukraine.

As reported, on April 22, the city council and law enforcement officials spoke against the march and rally because of security reasons. The City Council then asked the court to ban the party from holding both events.
